Rainbow Childcare caters for children from birth to five years of age and older in a single storey building with suitable disabled access and a large outdoor play area. A safe, happy and stimulating environment has been created to provide each child with the best possible start in life.
All aspects of the running of the nursery and your child’s individual needs will be discussed with you personally. We provide flexible childcare and will attempt to accommodate your personal requirements for your child’s attendance at Rainbow Childcare. We are graded as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted.
The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 6pm during term time and 8am – 5.30pm during the school holidays. We are open all year except the week between Christmas and New Year and we are closed on all bank holidays.
All children will be supported to settle into Rainbow Childcare according to their own individual needs. Parents will be invited to visit Rainbow Childcare with their child before they start so that they can meet the staff and talk about how Rainbow Childcare works. This enables children to become familiar with the nursery before their first day.
Staff recognises that each child is different and that some may be anxious about coming to the nursery. We will ensure that all children are given a warm welcome and they will be reassured about the fun element of the nursery.
Staff will help each child to find an activity they enjoy and they will encourage children to make friends to share activities with. Staff will monitor children to make sure they are settling in comfortably. Parents can accompany their child on as many visits as they feel is necessary for their child before leaving them for a short visit alone. We are looking forward to meeting you and your child.

Rainbow Childcare Prices for Children in Receipt of Working Parent Nursery Education Grant.
Rainbow Childcare provides funded only places or families can purchase additional hours/ days if required. We offer term time only places (38 weeks) for parents accessing 15 or 30 hours of funding per week and we also a stretched full year round funding offer (50 weeks). We provide a healthy daily menu which is freshly prepared for each meal and snack time. We offer a range of optional, additional outings and activities and experiences that we charge for in advance as they are organised. Parents are required to provide their own wipes, nappies and creams including sun cream.
